കാറ്റിൻ്റെയും കടലിന്റെയുംമേൽ ഭരിക്കുന്നവൻ
മത്തായി 8:23-27
മത്താ. 8:23 പിന്നെ അവൻ പടകിലേക്കു കയറിയപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.
24 ഇതാ, പടക് തിരകളാൽ പൊതിയപ്പെടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം കടലിൽ വലിയ ക്ഷോഭമുണ്ടായി; എന്നാൽ അവൻ ഉറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു.
25 അവരോ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന്, കർത്താവേ, രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു! എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അവനെ ഉണർത്തി.
26 അവൻ അവരോട്, അൽപവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങൾ ഭീരുക്കളാകുന്നത് എന്തിന്? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നിട്ട് അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു കാറ്റിനെയും കടലിനെയും ശാസിച്ചു, വലിയൊരു ശാന്തത ഉണ്ടായി.
27 ആ മനുഷ്യരോ, കാറ്റും കടലും പോലും ഇവനെ അനുസരിക്കുവാൻ ഇവൻ എത്തരത്തിലുള്ളവൻ? എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.

മത്തായി 8:23-27-ൽ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ കാറ്റിൻ്റെയും കടലിൻ്റെയും മേൽ ഭരിക്കുന്നവനായി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതൊരു സാധാരണ അധികാരമല്ല; നേരെമറിച്ച്, അത് ഒരു അസാധാരണ അധികാരമായി കണക്കാക്കണം.
നാം കർത്താവിനെ അനുഗമിക്കുമ്പോൾ, നാം പലപ്പോഴും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുള്ള കടലിൽ നമ്മെതന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും. കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിൻ്റെ സമയത്ത്, കാറ്റിൻ്റെയും കടലിൻ്റെയും മേൽ ഭരിക്കുന്നവനായ അവനിലേക്ക് നാം തിരിയേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഒരുവനായി നാം അനുഭവിക്കുകയും ആസ്വദിക്കുകയും വേണം.
a. അവൻ്റെ വചനത്തിലൂടെ
കർത്താവായ യേശു തൻ്റെ വചനത്തിലൂടെ കാറ്റിന്റെയും കടലിന്റെയുംമേൽ ഭരിക്കുന്നു. "എന്നിട്ട് അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു കാറ്റിനെയും കടലിനെയും ശാസിച്ചു, വലിയൊരു ശാന്തത ഉണ്ടായി. ആ മനുഷ്യരോ, കാറ്റും കടലും പോലും ഇവനെ അനുസരിക്കുവാൻ ഇവൻ എത്തരത്തിലുള്ളവൻ? എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു." (വാ. 26b-27). കർത്താവായ യേശു കാറ്റിനെയും കടലിനെയും ശാസിച്ചു, കാരണം കാറ്റിൽ സാത്താൻ്റെ വീണുപോയ ദൂതന്മാരും (എഫെ. 6:12) കടലിൽ ഭൂതങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു (മത്താ. 8:32). അതിനാൽ, യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ കാറ്റും കടലും അല്ല, കാറ്റിനു മുകളിലുള്ള വീണപോയ ദൂതന്മാരും കടലിനടിയിലെ ഭൂതങ്ങളുമാണ് കർത്താവിൻ്റെ അധികാരമുള്ള വചനം അനുസരിച്ചത്.
b. വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ നമ്മെ പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു
കാറ്റിൻ്റെയും കടലിന്റെയുംമേൽ ഭരിക്കുന്നവനെന്ന നിലയിൽ, കർത്താവായ യേശു നമ്മെ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മത്തായി 8:26a-ൽ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞു, " അൽപവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങൾ ഭീരുക്കളാകുന്നത് എന്തിന്? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു." വിശ്വാസം വരുന്നതും അത് ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും കർത്താവിൻ്റെ വചനത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് (റോമ. 10:17). മത്തായി 8:18-ൽ കർത്താവ് ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്ക് "അക്കരയ്ക്കു മാറിപ്പോകുവിൻ" എന്ന വാക്ക് നൽകിയിരുന്നു. അവർ ആ വാക്ക് വിശ്വസിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ, 25-ാം വാക്യത്തിൽ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവർ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കേണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ലായിരുന്നു, “കർത്താവേ, രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു!". കർത്താവിൻ്റെ വചനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അവരുടെ തിരിച്ചറിവ് പൂർണമായിരുന്നില്ല; അതിനാൽ, അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം "അല്പം" ആയിരുന്നു.
ഇന്ന് നാം കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ രാജാവായി, പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിൻ്റെ മുഴുവൻ ദിവ്യ ഭരണാധികാരിയായി വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. അവൻ എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളുടെയും മേൽ ഭരിക്കുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഒരുവനായി അനുഭവിക്കുവാനും ആസ്വദിക്കുവാനും നമുക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും പഠിക്കാം.
The one ruling over the winds and the sea
Matthew 8:23-27
Mt 8:23 And when He stepped into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the boat was covered by the waves; but He was sleeping.
25 And they came near and roused Him, saying, Lord, save us; we are perishing!
26 And He said to them, Why are you cowardly, you of little faith? Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 And the men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him?
Excerpts from the CNT:
In Matthew 8:23-27 the Lord Jesus is revealed as the One ruling over the winds and the sea. This is not an ordinary authority; on the contrary, it must be counted as an extraordinary authority.
As we follow the Lord, we will often find ourselves on a stormy sea. During the storm we need to turn to Him as the One who rules over the winds and the sea. We need to experience and enjoy Christ as such a One.
a. Through His Word
The Lord Jesus rules over the winds and the sea through His word. “He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” (vv. 26b-27). The Lord Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea because in the winds were the fallen angels of Satan (Eph. 6:12), and in the sea were the demons (Matt. 8:32). Therefore, actually it was not the winds and the sea but the fallen angels above the winds and the demons under the sea that obeyed the Lord’s word of authority.
b. Training Us in Faith
As the One who rules over the winds and the sea, the Lord Jesus trains us in faith. In Matthew 8:26a He said to the disciples, “Why are you cowardly, you of little faith?” [2780] Faith comes from and depends upon the word of the Lord (Rom. 10:17). In Matthew 8:18 the Lord had given the disciples the word “to depart to the other side.” If they had believed that word, they would not have needed to pray as they did in verse 25: “Lord, save us; we are perishing!” Their realization of the Lord’s word was not in full; thus, their faith was “little.”
We today need to believe in the Lord Jesus as the King, as the divine Administrator of the entire universe. He rules over all things. May we all learn to experience and enjoy Christ as such a One.
