ലൂക്കൊ. 1:78 നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കരുണാമയമായ മനസ്സലിവുകളാൽ, ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഉദയ സൂര്യൻ നമ്മെ സന്ദർശിക്കും,
79 അന്ധകാരത്തിലും മരണത്തിന്റെ നിഴലില ും ഇരിക്കുന്നവരുടെമേൽ പ്രകാശിക്കുവാനും, സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിലേക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കാലുകളെ വഴികാട്ടുവാനും തന്നെ.

a. ഉയരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഉദിക്കുന്നു
"നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കരുണാമയമായ മനസ്സലിവുകളാൽ, ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഉദയസൂര്യൻ നമ്മെ സന്ദർശിക്കും, അന്ധകാരത്തിലും മരണത്തിന്റെ നിഴലിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവരുടെമേൽ പ്രകാശിക്കുവാനും, സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിലേക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കാലുകളെ വഴികാട്ടുവാനും തന്നെ." അന്ധകാരത്തിലും മരണത്തിന്റെ നിഴലിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ഉദയസൂര്യനായി ക്രിസ്തു പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. രക്ഷകനായ യേശു, ഇരുണ്ട യുഗത്തിന് ഉദയസൂര്യനായിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ വരവ്, പഴയനിയമത്തിന്റെ രാത്രിയെ അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച്, പുതിയനിയമത്തിന്റെ പകലിന് നാന്ദികുറിച്ചു. അവൻ നമുക്ക് വെളിച്ചമായവൻ എന്ന നിലയിൽ (യോഹ. 9:5; മത്താ. 4:16), തന്റെ ജനം രക്ഷ കരസ്ഥമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്, അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്റെ നിവർത്തകനും കേന്ദ്രവുമാണ്.

c. സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിലേക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കാലുകളെ വഴികാട്ടുവാനും
സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിലേക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കാലുകളെ വഴികാട്ടുവാനായ് ക്രിസ്തു നമ്മുടെ മേൽ പ്രകാശിച്ചു. അന്ധകാരത്തിലും മരണത്തിന്റെ നിഴലിലും നാം ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ സമാധാനമില്ലാത്ത വഴിയിലൂടെ നാം നടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ, ഇപ്പോൾ നാം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയും, ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷകനായി സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിനാൽ, നാം സമാധാനത്തിൻ്റെ വഴിയിലാണെന്ന് സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ നമുക്ക് കഴിയും. സമാധാനപരമായ വഴിയിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുവാൻ നമ്മുടെ കാലുകൾ നയിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതം സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ജീവിതമാണ്. ഇത് പൂർണ്ണമായും ക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ പ്രകാശനം നിമിത്തമാണ്.
The rising sun
Luke 1:78-79
Lk 1:78 Because of the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high,
79 To shine upon those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Excerpts from the CNT:
a. Rising from on High
“Because of the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high, to shine upon those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace” (1:78-79). These verses reveal that [2828] our human Savior came not from the earth but from “on high,” indicating that His source is the heavens. He came from the heavens as the rising sun.
b. To Appear to Those Sitting in Darkness and in the Shadow of Death
As the rising sun Christ appeared to those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death. Jesus the Savior was the dawning sun to the dark age. His coming ended the night of the Old Testament and began the day of the New Testament. As the One who is light to us (John 9:5; Matt. 4:16), He is the accomplisher and the center of God’s redemption that His people may obtain salvation.
Before Christ came, the earth was in a dark night. With His coming as the sun, there was the dawning of day, and the earth began to be enlightened by Him. If He had not been the rising sun dispelling the darkness that covered the earth, He could not have been our Savior. In order to be the Savior, He had to be the One full of light shining not from the earth but from heaven.
c. To Guide Our Feet into the Way of Peace
Christ has shined upon us in order to guide our feet into the way of peace. When we were in darkness and in the shadow of death, we were walking on a way in which there was no peace. However, now that we have been saved, having received Christ as our Savior, we can testify that we are in the way of peace. Our feet are being guided to take the peaceful way. The Christian life is a life of peace. This is altogether due to Christ’s shining.
